Community Build Applications Now Open
Updated: Oct 8
We're excited to announce that we are doing a call out to work with another two community groups or organisations to help them improve their spaces and places. The project is funded by Awards for All, GCVS Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund and The Robertson Trust.
Last year we supported Shakespeare St Youth Club to paint their main hall as part of the centenary celebrations, and Possobilities to build some disabled access picnic benches and do some spring planting. You can read about the work with Possobilities in the Glasgow Times.
We could be supporting your community growing project to build new planters, do some painting and decorating to a community meeting space, or building benches for a local community centre - we’re excited to hear your ideas! The build provides an opportunity for people from your community to learn some practical skills and meet new people.
Glasgow Tool Library is able to provide project management time, tools, volunteer power and money towards materials, to work alongside your community group. We can work with you to find a suitable date. We are looking to deliver one build before Christmas 2024 and one in Spring 2025.
To ensure that we provide support to those most in need, partner organisations must support people most in need and /or operate in areas of multiple deprivation.
If you have a project that you would like us to work with you on, please fill out the form to give us a bit more detail. Our Volunteers will then vote on the project they want to support.
If you have any questions, please contact chris@glasgowtoollibrary.com
