See below for current opportunities to work with the Tool Library.
We are seeking the support of a Tool Librarian to manage the frontline service of the tool library: managing library memberships, sourcing and cataloging donations and repairing and lending tools. The tool librarian will also be responsible for coordinating a pilot partnership project, working with Remade Network and Repair Cafe Glasgow to develop a tool drop off and collection service at several locations throughout the city.
With oversight over the fundamental aspects of the tool-lending service, the tool librarian’s role is to ensure that the library is running smoothly and serving its members to the highest standard.
The role is an initial fixed term, freelance contract of 5 months, starting from mid September 2020. There is the possibility of the role term being extended, funding dependent.
