These workshops aim to share entry level woodwork skills and build confidence using DIY power tools. Participants are encouraged to sign up for all three of the classes so that we can progress our skills as a group, we appreciate this may not be possible for everyone.Workshops are a welcoming and supportive environment to share DIY know-how and gain confidence in your abilities. Complete beginners are very welcome with volunteers and woodworkers on-hand to ask questions.

Why Workshops for Women identifying, non-binary and trans people?

We recognise that experience in woodwork, trade skills and ‘practical things’ are often provided to boys and men. W4W* aims to bridge this gap and increase access for people systemically excluded from these types of activities and work,  providing space to ask questions and learn without prior knowledge of tool names, and uses.

Why North Glasgow?

W4W* will take at Wester Common Hall, by The Courtyard Pantry. These workshops are supported by Queens Cross Housing association and prioritise local residents.

We are happy to hear from you if you have any questions about the workshops or if you have any access or support requirements that we can help accommodate.
